Answering The Call

There are so many incredible acts that The Lord has done in our lives; so many that I am unable to account for all of them. I am writing this as an encouragement that God can and will use anyone he wants, if you are willing to go where he tells you to go and to do exactly what he tells you to do. You don't have to be 'somebody' and you don't have to have all the answers; you just have to love and follow Him with your whole heart, answer the call and make yourself available to what He has for you, and continually immerse yourself and your family in prayer. You can't do it alone. We are fighting a battle and it's not with flesh and blood. We are fighting against the principalities of darkness that want to keep us from doing the will of our Father in Heaven. Our Messiah told us that following Him would not be an easy task and that we would be persecuted for doing so. We have to pray, not only for protection from the enemy, but also that God would continually show us the next step so that we may walk in His will and in His blessing for our lives. We must also pray for vision. If God has not yet shown you--fathers and husbands--and given you vision, then I urge you, my whole family urges you to pray and ask God that he might give you a vision for your family. Without vision we walk blindly and are unable to see. But with a vision we have a goal to press towards for the sake of the kingdom of God. I will warn you that when you do take that step of faith and say, "God, here I am, use me" your whole life will change and you will see things through a lens that God will give you; and from that moment, from that point, there's no turning back. How can you turn back when God has revealed so much to you, when He has so richly blessed you? The answer is simple, you can't. The whole world at that point will see you as irresponsible crazy people who have gone overboard trying to serve God. My answer is, you can't go overboard trying to serve God. If it looks crazy to the world then it must be the right way. We are supposed to look set-apart and different because God has called us to live that way. Our life, our dress, our faith, our walk should look nothing like the world. We should represent our Creator well and uplift His Name.

 1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

John 17:15-18
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

1 Peter 1:15-16
But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Leviticus 20:24
But I said to you, "You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey." I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations.

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
